I dunno. I understand the market and the need for this, but trans woman specific products always bother me a little bit. It feels really exclusionary, as if we are not really women and we need special equipment to fit a specific vision of femininity.

I am proud of who I am, I love being me and for better or worse I am trans so I love being trans; but at the same time there is just so much societal baggage that screams at (specifically) trans women that we have to do this, that and the other thing in order to be perceived as real women.

So my boobs are smaller, my shoulders are broader and my hips are narrower than many cis women. So what? Lots of cis women have small boobs, broad shoulders and narrow hips. Virtually none of us fit the commoditized version of femininity. Not my cis sisters and not my trans sisters.

I dunno. I recognize that these products could be wonderful for some people, but for me this is just doesn’t sit right.
